RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF NEW ECO-SUSTAINABLE FINISHING PROCESSES FOR THE TANNING SECTOR

Within the strategy of INDUSTRIAS PELETERAS, S.A. to promote the sustainable development of new products, and to satisfy the needs of the market through excellence in their quality, has established a strategy, whose main objective is the development of new finishes for the tanning sector through the use of new sustainable technologies and eco-efficient. Specifically, the application of laser, ozone and micronebulization technologies on sheepskins (Napa and Double-Face) will be studied.

At the moment, one of the most important lines is the project entitled “RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF NEW ECO-SUSTAINABLE FINISHING PROCESSES FOR THE TANNING SECTOR”, which will take place between 06/01/2018 and 05/31 / 2020 in the facilities that it owns in Canals and that has obtained the support of the CDTI within its RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT PROJECT PROGRAM, by granting a partially reimbursable aid with interest of up to 231,379.78 euros, on the total accepted budget by CDTI amounting to 308,671.00 euros.

This aid is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Pluriregional Operational Program of Spain 2014-2020.
